On this special International Day of Education, we are excited to announce a unique opportunity for our alumni to engage in research-based learning that fosters continuous, lifelong education. At Chinbridge College, we believe in shifting the focus from passive consumption of knowledge to active, inquiry-driven knowledge building.
We are proud to launch our Research Grant, fully funded by Chinbridge College, which will be awarded on a rolling basis to eligible alumni. We aim to support 8-15 alumni with innovative research proposals throughout 2026.
Grant Eligibility, Size and Length
To be eligible for this grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Alumni who have attended a program lasting more than 9 months at either Chinbridge College or Victoria Academy are eligible to apply.
Each award will range from 1,000,000 MMK to 2,500,000 MMK, depending on the nature of the proposal.
Project length shouldn't be longer than 6 months.
Research Themes
We welcome research proposals on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Information Technology
- Business and Entrepreneurship
- Education
- Agriculture
- Aquaculture
- Livestock and Livelihood
- Traditional Weaving or Tailoring
- Other issues relevant to the Chin context
Deadline for Application
All proposals must be submitted by 1 February 2026.
What and Where to Submit
Proposals should be no longer than two pages on A4 paper size. We do not provide a specific template for submissions, so you are free to use any format that best presents your research idea.
